Description:
description to come Location: Located at the end of the former Cape Tormentine ferry wharf, made obsolete by the opening of the Confederation Bridge. Latitude: 46.13486 Longitude: -63.7722 For a larger map of Cape Tormentine Outer Wharf Lighthouse, click the lighthouse in the above map or get a map from: Mapquest. Travel Instructions: From Highway 16 traveling from Port Elgin towards Prince Edward Island, take the next-to-the-last exit before the Confederation Bridge (Exit 47) and drive east on Route 955 towards Bayfield and Cape Tormentine. After 4.8km (3 miles), turn left near an old train depot onto a road (Old Ferry Road) that leads to the Cape Tormentine Harbour and Wharf. The Cape Tormentine Outer Wharf Lighthouse is located at the end of the wharf. The last portion of the wharf has a fence to prohibit access, but several fisherman that were fishing near the lighthouse when I visited had obviously crawled through and ample-sized hole in the fence to reach the lighthouse. The lighthouse is owned by the Canadian Coast Guard. Grounds/tower closed. Find the closest hotels to Cape Tormentine Outer Wharf Lighthouse See our List of Lighthouses in New Brunswick Canada |
